Mental Health Evaluator for Immigration Evaluations in Oregon (REMOTE) ? *Applicants must be licensed mental health professionals in the state of Oregon** Blueprint Therapy led by Norma Martnez, LMFT (CA: #106519; OR: #T1780) is expanding and is urgently seeking licensed mental health professionals to perform mental health immigration evaluations in the state of Oregon. Professional proficiency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. This is a remote, independent contractor position, offering flexible working hours. This position is ideal for mental health professionals wanting to extend their expertise to help individuals navigate the complex, and often overwhelming, nature of the immigration process. Blueprint Therapy is seeking compassionate and skilled professionals in the mental health field who will conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to support clients in their immigration cases including: ? VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) ? U Visas ? T Visas ? Waivers ? Asylum Qualifications and Experience ? Education level - Master?s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related mental health field. ? Licensure requisites - Active registration as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psy. D or Ph.D. in the state of Oregon (please provide license number on your application). ? Prior experience (1 year minimum) in clinical evaluations and trauma-informed care is required. ? Prior experience in mental health immigration evaluations is preferred, but not required. Applicants who meet licensing requisites and wish to perform mental health immigration evaluations will be given comprehensive training! ? Prefer applicants to have their own private practice, however this is not a requirement. ? Applicants must have up-to-date liability and/or malpractice insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a remote, independent contractor position. Compensation ranges from $380 - $420 per evaluation, depending on the type of evaluation performed. Currently, benefits are not offered with this position. This position is ideal for those who want to bring extra income to their private practice or are looking to start one. Skills Applicants must have strong verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, exercise cultural sensitivity, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, as the position is remote.

Key Responsibilities

A contract immigration evaluator typically conducts psychological, clinical, or forensic evaluations for individuals involved in immigration cases. These cases often serve as critical evidence in legal proceedings. Below are the key responsibilities of the role: 1) Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations (templates will be provided) ? Perform clinical interviews and assessments tailored to immigration case requirements (e.g., asylum, U-Visa, T-Visa, VAWA, hardship waivers). ? Use standardized psychological assessment tools to evaluate mental health, trauma, and emotional well-being. ? Gather detailed psychosocial histories, including past trauma, family dynamics, and significant life events. 2) Prepare Detailed Evaluation Reports ? Write clear, concise, and legally sound evaluation reports. ? Ensure reports address key immigration legal questions (e.g., credible fear, hardship, psychological impact). ? Include diagnostic impressions and clinical opinions supported by evidence and assessment results. ? Ability to submit reports within 10 days. 3) Collaborate with Legal Professionals ? Work closely with immigration attorneys and legal representatives to understand case requirements. ? Provide clarification and/or additional documentation if needed. 4) Exhibit Cultural Sensitivity and Competency ? Demonstrate cultural humility and awareness in assessments. ? Understand the impact of cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic factors on mental health and trauma. ? Utilize interpreters effectively when language barriers exist. 5) Maintain Ethical and Legal Standards ? Adhere to professional codes of ethics and legal guidelines (e.g., AAMFT, APA, NASW, or other relevant governing bodies). ? Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive client information. ? Stay informed about immigration policies and regulations that impact evaluation requirements. 6) Time Management and Documentation ? Manage scheduling, documentation, and deadlines effectively. ? Maintain organized records of evaluations and supporting documents (access to the practice?s EHR). 7) Build Rapport with Clients ? Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to share sensitive information. ? Handle emotionally charged or distressing topics with empathy and professionalism. 8) Business and Administrative Duties ? Manage invoicing, billing, and financial records as an independent contractor. ? Maintain liability insurance. ? Ensure proper documentation for tax and legal purposes.
