We are looking to hire a RF System Integration Engineer in a group at Apple that develops cellular modems that will be used in Apple mobile devices. You will be responsible for a the integration of the RF sub-system into modem designs of different products, interacting intensively with teams across the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and self-contained technical leader who can help us with tomorrow's challenges. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications • Strong experience in RF System integration / validation • Strong experience on of cellular 3GPP (3G/4G/5G) RF standards • Experience with RF-Transceiver/Base Band Physical & Layer 1 control • Advanced Communication / coordination / Networking Expert • Leadership (build community, listen, take decision, follow up) Description Description In the cellular modem development, the RF sub-system is developed, characterized and optimized before it gets coordinated into the modem design. You are responsible to represent the RF teams during the modem integration process. With you past experience you understand the challenges and requirements of the RF integration into the modem, from the preparation, through the integration testing and debugging, the analysis of logs reported by e.g. Field Test teams till the launch of the product. Your collaboration skills will enable you to lead technical challenges which needs to be resolved across teams located in different locations across the world. - Responsibility to drive RF related problems to a solution involving all kind of subject areas (System Engineering / FW / System Integration / Base Band / Customer Support) - Analyzing RF content of field test logs - Breaking-down of RF related issues into different areas of the RF sub-system (Receiver / Transmitter / Power Management / System Engineering / FW) - Coordinating debugging effort as technical lead across teams using assigned guides - Close interaction with Base Band Physical & Layer 1 colleagues - Secure integration readiness by developing test-cases on Virtual Prototyping as well as on existing Hardware - Secure strong quality-gate testing for official releases based on findings of previous issues Education & Experience Education & Experience MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering Expected salary: Location: Santa Clara, CA - Cupertino, CA Apply for the job now!
