Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Call Center Healthcare Specialist, where your passion for supporting veterans will play a crucial role in enhancing their healthcare experiences. In this fully remote position, you will be instrumental in assisting veterans with their medical and behavioral health inquiries, ensuring seamless access to vital services. Key Responsibilities • Provide exemplary customer service while addressing veterans’ queries regarding care authorizations, provider options, claims, and other healthcare-related matters. • Manage both inbound and outbound communications with a focus on empathy and efficiency, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately. • Coordinate the scheduling of medical appointments, ensuring timely access to necessary care for veterans. • Conduct thorough research to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions within our systems. • Utilize provided technology and tools effectively to support veterans in navigating their healthcare journey. • Collaborate with colleagues to meet service goals and undertake additional responsibilities as required. Required Skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at internet navigation. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. • Experience in handling chat messaging within a contact center environment is highly desirable. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED. • Minimum of 1 year in a call center setting. • At least 1 year of customer service experience with a focus on performance metrics. • 1 year of experience in the healthcare sector with a solid understanding of health services. • Military experience or a background in veteran service is advantageous.
