Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) - Remote and Part Time

Summit Health, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene Services (www.summithsih.com) is seeking a remote and part-time Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). We wish to sub-contract this position and will pay $70.00 per hour. Our team can facilitate a very flexible schedule and are open to work with candidates who may have ongoing responsibilities elsewhere, as long as no conflicts are identified. Work will be based on contract awards and will not follow a standard work schedule. The CIH may provide oversight and direction to internal staff, review/edit/create reports, provide technical guidance, oversee exposure assessments/surveys, analyze and interpret data, create estimates, recommend specific corrective actions, conduct research, create reports, and interface with client meetings. Occasional site visits to Client sites will be required and are generally located in the Western United States. General EHS support including training may be required along with miscellaneous IH and Safety tasks. Additional functions may be required in the future. This individual must have experience in exposure assessments across a range of hazards including chemical, biological, and physical. A strong background in chemistry is advantageous. An advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Safety/Chemistry/Toxicology or similar field is preferred, a CIH designation is required.
