Title: Software Engineer Duration: 1 Year 100% remote This position will be joining our platform engineering team in support of our Google Cloud Platform efforts. The scope of the work would be to bring on an individual to support our other cloud engineers on the team in establishing golden pathways for engineering teams to leverage to speed up the time to deploy software to our Google Cloud Platform environments. Specifically, provisioning and deploying backend .NET core services to Google Cloud Run for our Mayo Clinic patient portals. Required: -Google Cloud Platform experience, specifically Cloud Run, Google Cloud Platform Operations Suite, VPCs, Networking Preferred: -Deploying applications from GitHub enterprise to Google Cloud via CI/CD -Experience with Google Cloud Platform databases and other Google Cloud Platform APIs/services -Working in an agile environment -Experience with .NET core applications -Experience with diagramming Google Cloud and API... architectures -Any Google Cloud Platform certifications would be a plus, not required Required qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience as noted below; OR an Associate's degree in Computer/Science/Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience. Have in-depth knowledge of software engineering with experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.) and a basic knowledge of related fields. Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills. Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions. Experience with modern application development frameworks Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
