FT Admin Assistant for Mental Health Practice; Flexible Hrs, 100% Remote

We are seeking a detail-oriented, independent, responsive, persistent, emotionally-attuned, responsible, warm, high energy, optimistic person to join us as an administrative assistant. Experience in healthcare setting IS required, as this position deals heavily with insurance, HIPAA, and healthcare documents. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Take full responsibility for new client chart set-ups in the EHR. • Accurately and efficiently verify insurance benefits and communicate them to client. • Track and follow-up on incomplete client paperwork and documents. • Secure insurance pre-authorizations for all requested services. • Support clients and clinical staff throughout their time at Affinity. • Be a warm, approachable, and knowledgeable voice of the practice in all client communications. • Utilize digital and electronic software for all office tasks. • Look for, and implement, opportunities for improvement. • Secret application number is 19. Possible Job Duties (we believe in tailoring jobs to people's strengths, so as long as you're adding value, almost none of these are deal-breakers): • Document/Spreadsheet Creation: letters, illustrations, infographics for staff or clients, info sheets • Event Planning: research, plan, track, and manage all correspondence for professional and casual events as needed; provide in-person set-up, support, and tear-down during events • Referral management: create and maintain referral database and nurture relationships with referral partners • Projects: as-needed projects as assigned by Founder or Practice Manager • Admin back-up (as-needed, when members of our team are away or swamped) • In-office support at one of our multiple office locations (as-needed) Benefits and Pay: • $16/hr, paid as a salary • Flexible hours and the ability to work from anywhere • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance (available only for FT staff members) • 401(k) with Employer matching • PTO accrual • Short-term disability insurance (available only for FT staff members) • CEU / training reimbursement after 6 months of employment - $500/yr for FT employees, $200/yr for PT (subject to content approval) • Worker’s Compensation Insurance • Professional headshots Application Questions: Please send responses to meridee@ affinitypsych.com along with your resume.
