Hiring College Essay Review Tutor Part-Time fully remote

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced College Essay Review Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English, writing, or a related field and a passion for helping high school students craft compelling and impactful college essays. This role involves working one-on-one with students to guide them through the brainstorming, writing, and editing process... for college application essays. Key Responsibilities: • Review and provide detailed feedback on college application essays, focusing on clarity, structure, grammar, and overall impact. • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with high school students to help them brainstorm, outline, and draft their essays. • Assist students in developing their unique voice and crafting a narrative that stands out to college admissions committees. • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their writing skills. • Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of college admissions trends and essay requirements for various colleges and universities. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching writing, especially college essay writing. • Strong understanding of college admissions processes and essay requirements. • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build rapport with students and motivate them to achieve their best work. • Highly organized, patient, and attentive to detail. • Ability to provide flexible scheduling to accommodate students' needs. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in college admissions or as a college counselor. • Familiarity with various college application platforms (e.g., Common App, Coalition Application).
