What you’ll do We’re looking for a Systems Technical Support Engineer who will provide technical support for the installation, configuration and deployment of SAS software running on Java Application Servers. As a Systems Technical Support Engineer, You will: • Provide first and second level support for external and internal customers • Prioritize, diagnose and manage customer reported problems including writing thorough, detailed problem descriptions • Prepare and review written documentation • Participate in installations of SAS software which utilize third party application servers • Record and manage confirmed software bugs • Provide product feedback to development and marketing • Build technical relationships with appropriate groups and individuals in development and with third party Java Runtime and application server providers • Report on and track feature requests and problems with third party vendors • Provide both formal and informal training to Technical Support staff on various application server topics, and perform other duties as assigne Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience • Experience using Windows or UNIX operating system • Ability to resolve user questions through a combination of independent study, investigative programming, and collaborative efforts with team members • You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
