Job Description

As a Flight Attendant at Southwest Airlines, you will ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our passengers while maintaining the highest level of customer service. You will demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.

Responsibilities

– Conduct pre-flight safety checks and ensure the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight

– Greet passengers, assist with seating arrangements, and provide assistance with onboard storage

– Perform safety demonstrations and ensure all passengers comply with security regulations

– Serve beverages and meals, and sell onboard products

– Attend to passengers’ needs, answer questions, and handle in-flight emergencies

– Provide reassurance to passengers during flight, particularly in adverse weather conditions or during delays

– Collaborate with the pilot and cockpit crew to ensure a cohesive team environment

Requirements

– Minimum age of 21 years

– High school diploma or GED

– Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

– Possess a valid United States passport or the ability to obtain one

– Willingness to relocate as required and to travel extensively

– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for extended periods

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Educational Qualifications

– High school diploma or equivalent required

– Further certifications in hospitality, customer service, or safety are a plus

Experience

– Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is preferred but not required.
