Job Description

The CDL Class A Truck Driver is responsible for safe and timely transportation of hazardous materials, adhering to DOT regulations, and performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. The role requires an individual who can efficiently handle the physical requirements of the job, which may include loading and unloading cargo, and who can maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

– Safe and timely transportation of hazmat freight

– Adherence to all DOT regulations and reporting any vehicle issues

– Performing vehicle inspections before and after each trip

– Loading and unloading cargo as needed

– Maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers

Requirements

– Valid Class A CDL license with Hazmat endorsement

– Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CDL Class A driver

– Clean driving record

– Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

– Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards

– Able to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor as needed

Educational Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training and certification as a Hazmat driver is also necessary.
