Job Summary:
FedEx Freight, a leading logistics company in the US, is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Full-Time Tractor Trailer Drivers. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $50,000 – $70,000 per year depending on experience. As a full-time driver, you will be expected to work a standard 40-hour week. Job Description:
Tractor Trailer Drivers are responsible for transporting goods from one location to another using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Drivers will be tasked with driving long distances, loading and unloading cargo, and keeping their vehicle in good condition. You will be expected to timely and safely deliver goods to various FedEx Freight customers across different routes.
Responsibilities:
– Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
– Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
– Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
– Load and unload cargo and ensure that it’s secured to avoid damage.
Requirements:
– Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License)
– Minimum of 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience.
– Must pass a background check and drug test.
– Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
– The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
– Effective communication skills.
Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
