Job Summary:

Schneider National, one of the largest freight carriers in the United States, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced CDL Class A OTR Driver to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid training, and generous paid vacations.

Job Description:

As a CDL Class A OTR Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers in order to plan routes and track deliveries.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.

2. Load and unload cargo.

3. Record cargo deliveries.

4. Refuel and clean vehicle.

5. Report road incidents to the dispatcher.

6. Follow traffic laws.

7. Inspect trucks and record issues.

8. Follow accident procedures.

9. Keep an activities log and log hours.

10. Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

1. Valid CDL Class A driver’s license.

2. Previous experience as a truck driver.

3. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.

4. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

5. No recent moving or driving violations.

6. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc).

7. Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.

Educational Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CDL Class A OTR Driver.
