Part-Time K-12 Educational Tutor - Flexible Schedule for Education Students

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to earn money while you complete your degree! We are looking for dedicated Part-Time Tutors to provide tutoring services to students in grades K-12. Areas of tutoring needed include... Reading/English Math Early Elementary Reading Beginning Reading Test Prep (ACT/SAT) Writing Study Skills You don't need to be proficient in all these areas; we will work with you to schedule tutoring sessions based on your interests and expertise. Requirements Reading/English Tutors: An Education/Teaching Degree is required or you should be a student pursuing an Education Degree with experience in classroom observation or student teaching. Math Tutors: Strong proficiency up to Algebra 2 is required (Education Degree not necessary). Test Prep Tutors: A strong ACT/SAT score (30/1400 preferred) is required (Education Degree not necessary). At least one year of teaching or tutoring experience is preferred. Ability to connect with students and excellent communication skills are essential. Must be available to work from one of our locations in Lake Zurich/Barrington or Schaumburg. Skills And Qualities Needed Teach using provided educational programs. Motivate and engage students during instruction. Reward student achievements and track progress. Communicate student needs effectively to our educational team. Create a positive and fun learning environment. Maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards teaching.
