We are passionate about crafting integrated server-side and client-side solutions that empower web teams to deliver products at scale!Responsibilities Architect and craft highly scalable and elegant solutions for shared web platformCollaborate with engineering teams across the company to accelerate adoption of shared solutionsDefine and implement best practices to continually improve performance and scalabilityPartner with other engineering teams to create and deliver reusable abstractionsResearch and evaluate new technologiesBasic Qualifications: 7+ years experience building highly scalable and performant web applications serving millions of users and requests.BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experienceExperience architecting sophisticated technical changes, to knowledge-share, and get consensus for their solutions.Deep knowledge in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node.js, NPM, etc.Experience with modern build tools like Webpack, TurboPack, Rollup, Vite, esbuild, etc.Deep understanding of HTTP request-response cycle.Excellent problem solving skillsPreferred Qualifications: Shipped production level React/Node.js application with high availability and throughput deployed to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)Expansive industry knowledge with regard to web standards and new technologiesExperience in setting up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelinesAdditional Information Disney is an equal opportunity employer - Women/Cultural minority/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity. Our goal is to create an inclusive workplace for all.The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, CT is $149,300 - $200,200 per year, in Seattle and New York is $156,300 - $209,600 per year, and in San Francisco is $163,500 - $219,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
