This role involves delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual needs in an online environment. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. • Utilize adaptive and assistive technologies to enhance learning and accessibility for students in a virtual setting. • Conduct virtual classroom sessions, providing direct instruction, support, and feedback to students. • Monitor and assess student progress through online assessments and assignments, providing timely feedback and grades. • Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). • Address any challenges or barriers to learning that students may encounter in the virtual environment. • Organize and facilitate virtual parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss student progress and goals. Requirements: • NY State Teaching Certification for Deaf Education. • Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching deaf and hard of hearing students in a school setting. • Proficiency in remote teaching tools and technologies.
