Remote AP English Tutor

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced AP English Tutor to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with a specific focus on the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. This role involves providing personalized online tutoring sessions to high school students to help them excel in their AP English courses and... prepare for their AP exams. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in AP English Language and Composition and/or AP English Literature and Composition via online platforms. • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of students. • Assist students in understanding and analyzing complex texts, developing strong writing skills, and mastering AP exam content. • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching methods as necessary. • Help students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation. • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. • Communicate regularly with students and, if applicable, their parents or guardians about progress and any areas of concern. • Stay current with the latest developments in AP English curriculum and exam requirements. • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience. • Strong knowledge of AP English curriculum and exam structure. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with online tutoring platforms and technology. • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for teaching. • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of ability. • Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP English courses. • Experience working with high school students. • Familiarity with educational technology and online tutoring platforms.
