We are seeking a Senior Trading Systems Software Engineer to help us enhance our platform's functionality, performance, and security. We offer flexible working arrangements: About one-third of our company is based in our New York City office, while the rest of our team works remotely from locations within and outside the US. We welcome remote engineers from any location, provided they can maintain some overlap with US time zones. What You Will Do Develop and maintain trading systems for market making on behalf of the Avalanche Foundation, ensuring high performance and reliability Create integrations for order routing and market data with multiple exchanges, leveraging REST and websocket APIs Design and implement robust risk management and hedging solutions to reduce risk Optimize order placement algorithms to enhance execution efficiency, reduce slippage, and minimize funding rate payments Build comprehensive trade analytics scripts to monitor PNL, positions, and risk, providing actionable insights Continuously improve system performance and decrease latency to maintain a competitive edge in the market What You Will Bring B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline 5+ years experience in backend development Experience with Python Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, and exchanges Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Curiosity and self-learning: A strong curiosity and eagerness to learn, especially about the latest information in blockchain technology and finance Self-driven mindset: Ability to identify opportunities and execute on them independently NICE TO HAVE Experience with Golang Experience with blockchain technology Salary Range: $142,400 to $178,000 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location Apply Job!
