Senior Data Analyst

Salient is looking for a talented analyst to supplement the Consumer Goods Supplier client services team. The role is responsible for senior consulting, performing data analysis, building guided analysis, training, documentation and sales support. This position has future growth opportunities within Salient in areas of business consulting depending on skills developed and areas of interest. This is a client-facing position with part-time travel anticipated. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: ?Ensure that mature guided-analysis templates for client consumption are created and maintained with feedback applied for your assigned clients to help ensure strong adoption. ?Help create a roadmap with clients for fully leveraging their investment in the Salient stack. ?Conduct analysis studies for clients such as Category Reviews, Key Account Reviews, Pricing Effectiveness, etc. ?Study client data to identify opportunities for improvement and communicate those opportunities with fact-based carefully documented explanations using the Salient platform. ?Define and improve step-by-step methods to identify opportunities for improving profitability, increasing savings or efficiencies, and recommend next steps to remedy or further improve those areas. ?Lead on other client delivery services relevant to client services agreements and initiatives. ?Develop, improve, and implement business-user-facing analytical content and Consumer Goods industry best practice analytical templates on clients?solutions and Salient? internal demo datasets. ?Further improve detailed documentation cataloging business scenarios & capabilities for demonstration. ?Become an expert in Salient end-user technologies (Salient web, mobile and desktop applications). ?Become an expert in how to apply Salient technologies to meet client business needs. ?Perform sales demonstrations, conduct introductory meetings and help generate proposals to support sales. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this position successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education / Experience: ?B.S. preferred in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related area. ?5-10 years of professional experience focused on business consulting, data analysis, and visualization is strongly preferred. Required Skills or Knowledge: ?Experience in business consulting, client delivery and accounts management. ?Experience in data analysis and visualization. ?Experience with database technologies is preferred. ?Experience in presenting business reporting and making recommendations to business leadership. ?Experience in leading business solution implementations. ?Must be strong in problem solving and scientific/mathematical thinking skills. ?Ability to follow written and verbal procedures and instructions. ?Ability to create organized and professional material. ?Ability to perform in an environment with multiple projects and priorities. ?Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point. ?Willingness to experiment and learn new tools and technologies. ?Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
