[Remote] Associate Vice President/Regional Finance Officer

Impekkable is an award-winning healthcare consulting and strategic hospital services firm seeking an Associate Vice President/Regional Finance Officer to join their team. This role involves serving as a senior financial strategist and advisor for rural and critical access hospitals, ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency while collaborating with hospital leadership.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership — Serve as the primary financial advisor for assigned hospitals, guiding budgeting, forecasting, reimbursement strategy, and long‑range financial planning
- Performance Analysis & Margin Improvement — Evaluate financial performance, identify operational inefficiencies, and develop actionable plans to improve cash flow, revenue integrity, and cost structure
- Revenue Cycle Optimization — Support improvements in charge capture, billing, collections, payer contracting, and denial management to strengthen financial performance
- Regulatory & Compliance Expertise — Provide oversight on Medicare cost reporting, critical access hospital reimbursement methodologies, and state/federal compliance requirements
- Board & Executive Collaboration — Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to hospital boards and executive teams
- Cross‑Functional Partnership — Collaborate with HealthTech’s consulting, operations, technology, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated solutions across client hospitals
- Onsite Engagement — Travel regionally to support client relationships, conduct assessments, lead financial reviews, and participate in board meetings
- Crisis & Turnaround Support — Provide stabilizing financial leadership during periods of transition, interim leadership gaps, or operational challenges
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare, including direct experience with rural and critical access hospitals
- Deep understanding of Medicare cost reporting, CAH reimbursement, and rural health economics
- Demonstrated success in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvement
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive‑level presentation skills
- Ability to build trust with hospital leadership, boards, and community stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regionally to client sites
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MHSA) or CPA/CHFP certification
- Experience with rural‑hospital EHR/financial systems (e.g., MEDITECH, CPSI)
- Background in consulting, interim leadership, or multi‑facility financial oversight
