[Remote] Software Engineering Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lunon is the world's first AI-native consulting firm, delivering high-quality consulting engagements efficiently. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work with the founding engineering team to develop features for the platform that powers client engagements, allowing you to see immediate impact from your work.
Responsibilities
- Your workflow, your tools, your call. Claude Code, Cursor, whatever gets the best result fastest
- You ship it yourself. No handoffs, no waiting on someone to unblock you
- You stay on top of the best tools as they emerge and bring that to the team
- You hit a wall, you find a way through it. That's the job
Skills
- You must be autonomous. There is no ticket queue. There is no hand-holding. You pick up the work, figure out what needs to be done, and do it
- You must be AI-fluent. Claude Code or Cursor should be your default. You use AI to punch above your weight, not as a crutch
- You must be pragmatic. Lunon is a startup so something is always on fire. Some things will be broken, some things will be unclear, and some things will change overnight. You figure it out and keep going
- You must be gritty. You pick the hardest, highest-quality option regardless of the effort it takes and you push through it
- Your GitHub should tell a story. We are not expecting dozens of polished repos, but we want to see someone who lives in code — consistent activity, real projects, and enough experience that branches, PRs, and merge conflicts are second nature
- Prior startup experience is strongly preferred. If you have already survived the chaos of an early-stage company, you know what you are walking into
Benefits
- $1,000 tools stipend to set you up with everything you need to ship
- Early model access through an OpenAI partnership
- Remote
