[Remote] Marketplace Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hagerty is the world’s largest insurer of collectible and enthusiast vehicles, dedicated to providing a community for drivers. As a Marketplace Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of auction listings by communicating with sellers, creating engaging content, and managing photo submissions, all while meeting daily business goals.
Responsibilities
- Writing unique auction descriptions that accurately describe our listings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sellers throughout the listing process
- Collect and verify detailed information about vehicles, including specifications, service history, and ownership background
- Create well-organized, engaging, and informative auction listings
- Coordinate and organize vehicle photo submissions; ensure photo sets are complete, high-quality, and follow brand guidelines
- Proven ability to relay the importance of professional photography to sellers to bring the best listings to market
- Assist sellers with guidance on how to photograph and present their vehicles effectively
- Provide sellers with critical feedback about how they can improve their listing
- Collaborate with the team to ensure listings are launched on schedule and meet quality standards
- Maintain accurate records and track progress of each listing through internal systems
- This role is responsible for hitting day-to-day business goals that contribute to our company targets
- Coordination with sellers you are working with as well as the creation of listings
Skills
- Strong online auction experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in content creation, copywriting, or editorial work is a plus
- Familiarity with photography basics and visual presentation best practices
- Knowledge of or passion for classic/collector cars is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with image file handling, resizing, cropping, basic editing
- Ability to manage multiple listings at various stages with minimal oversight
- Ability to edit and fact check listings
- Proven ability to navigate day-to-day problems with minimal oversight
- Proven ability to create 4+ listings per day, with little dependence from team members
- Broad knowledge of online auctions and the collector car market as a whole
