Role Overview – Associate, Collections Customer Assistance (Remote)

As an Associate, Collections Customer Assistance at arenaflex, you will serve as the escalation point for complex lease and retail accounts. You’ll partner closely with the Collections team to investigate, analyze, and resolve challenging cases such as misapplied payments, first‑payment defaults, deceased or SCRA accounts, and voluntary repossessions. Your work ensures that customers receive accurate, timely resolutions while protecting arenaflex’s financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough follow‑up and research on escalated accounts to guarantee effective problem resolution.
  • Handle inbound phone calls and written correspondence from customers experiencing escalated issues, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain strict adherence to defined timelines for dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document all account activities, updates, and resolutions in arenaflex’s designated systems.
  • Complete daily operational tasks to meet productivity targets and service level agreements.
  • Participate actively in performance coaching sessions (approximately 5% of daily duties), contributing ideas that enhance both individual and team performance.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments—such as Finance, Legal, and Customer Service—to deliver a seamless end‑to‑end customer experience.
  • Identify trends in escalated cases and propose process improvements to reduce future occurrences.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors that support the broader objectives of the Operations Division.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in collections, preferably within the automotive finance sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume, high‑complexity accounts while maintaining accuracy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with collections or CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify root causes.

  • Experience with automotive retail or lease financing processes.
