Position Overview

As a Cargo Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring that freight shipments are processed accurately, handled with care, and delivered on time, every time. You will serve as the face and voice of arenaflex's cargo division, interacting directly with customers both in person and over the phone. This position is ideal for individuals who are entering the workforce, transitioning into a new field, or looking to build a long-term career in logistics, supply chain management, or customer service. Scheduling for this role is based on operational needs. Shifts may range from early mornings to evenings, and each station operates according to its individual flight or shipping schedule. Team members can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on their assigned position and station requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking cargo and freight services, providing friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient support via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Process and coordinate incoming and outgoing freight shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, labeling, and tracking throughout the shipping lifecycle.
  • Verify shipment details, weights, dimensions, and destination information to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to facilitate the smooth movement of cargo through sorting, loading, and unloading processes.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and escalate complex issues to supervisors or specialists as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of arenaflex's services, pricing structures, shipping options, and promotional offerings to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Operate computer systems and digital platforms to input shipment data, generate tracking reports, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and follow guidelines for handling hazardous or specialized cargo.
  • Monitor shipment statuses proactively and communicate updates to customers to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve performance and industry knowledge.
  • Support special projects, seasonal initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for the Cargo Customer Service Agent position at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of oneself, coworkers, customers, and sensitive personal data.

Preferred Qualifications

While prior experience is not required, candidates with the following qualifications will have a competitive advantage:

  • Previous experience in cargo, freight, shipping, warehouse operations, or a related logistics environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in typing and computer-based data entry.
  • Experience using shipping software, inventory management systems, or customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling or international shipping regulations is a plus.
