We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Work from Home Patient Care Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, utilize your medical knowledge and customer service skills, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, communicating with patients and physicians, and providing exceptional customer service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Corresponding with patients and physicians via phone, email, and other communication channels to coordinate care and resolve issues
  • Utilizing computer systems and software to manage patient data, schedule appointments, and perform other administrative tasks
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, improve processes, and enhance patient satisfaction
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and company policies to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in patient care

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Coordinator, or in a related role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Medical certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other software applications
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, laws, and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction surveys, and other performance metrics
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Certification in a related field, such as medical billing, coding, or healthcare management
