As we continue to expand our footprint, we are looking for enthusiastic, customer‑centric professionals to join our team and help us uphold the high standards that define the arenaflex brand.

Role Overview

The Customer Service Representative position at arenaflex is a front‑line role that blends hospitality, retail expertise, and operational efficiency. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, guiding them through their purchasing journey, ensuring smooth transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced settings, enjoy interacting with diverse customers, and take pride in contributing to a store’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer with a warm, approachable demeanor, establishing a positive first impression.
  • Assist shoppers in locating merchandise, answering product‑related questions, and offering recommendations that align with their needs.
  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately, handling cash, credit, and digital payments while adhering to all security protocols.
  • Maintain a tidy, well‑stocked sales floor by unloading deliveries, organizing merchandise, and restocking shelves promptly.
  • Monitor store aisles for safety hazards, ensuring a secure shopping environment for both customers and team members.
  • Collaborate with fellow associates to execute promotional displays, seasonal merchandising, and inventory counts.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross‑sell complementary items, contributing to store sales targets.
  • Provide timely resolution of customer concerns, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, product knowledge updates, and store meetings to stay informed about new initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting overall store profitability and operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of secondary education is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal directives, interpret retail policies, and apply them consistently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with customers and teammates.
  • Basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a genuine desire to help shoppers find solutions.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with POS technology and inventory management systems.
  • Experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Certification or training in customer service excellence, conflict resolution, or sales techniques.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Customer Focus: Anticipate and respond to shopper needs with empathy and professionalism.
  • Developing Potential: Seek out learning opportunities and share knowledge with peers to elevate team performance.
  • Results Driven: Strive to meet and exceed daily sales and service targets.
  • Organizational Skills: Keep work areas orderly, manage stock efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem Solving/Decision Making: Resolve issues quickly, using sound judgment and company policies.
  • Relationship Management: Build rapport with regular customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to changing store layouts, promotional cycles, and seasonal demands.

Physical Demands & Work Schedule

This role requires the ability to lift and move merchandise regularly—up to 40 lb on a consistent basis and occasionally up to 55 lb. Tasks involve frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders or step stools. Reasonable accommodations can be made for qualified individuals. The schedule is flexible, covering full‑time hours that may include daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet the needs of our customers.

  • Access to an online learning portal offering courses on sales techniques, product knowledge, and leadership development.
  • Opportunities to cross‑train in other departments such as inventory control, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
  • A clear career pathway that can lead to supervisory, department‑lead, or district‑level positions based on performance and ambition.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
