Position Overview

arenaflex is currently hiring a dedicated and methodical Remote Data Entry Operator to join our growing operations team. This is a full-time, fully remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for transferring critical information from paper-based source documents into our secure digital database systems, maintaining data accuracy, performing verification checks, and supporting the day-to-day data needs of multiple departments. You will report directly to a Data Manager or a senior member of the data team and will play a vital part in ensuring that our digital records remain accurate, complete, and easily accessible at all times.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys structured repetitive tasks, and has a strong sense of responsibility when handling confidential information. Knowledge of data confidentiality principles is mandatory, as the work you perform will directly contribute to the integrity of sensitive business records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats, physical files, and printed documents into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Enter data provided directly by customers, clients, or internal stakeholders into the appropriate digital systems in a timely manner.
  • Create, update, and maintain spreadsheets containing large volumes of numerical and textual figures, ensuring calculations and entries are free from errors.
  • Verify data by carefully comparing entered information against original source documents to identify and correct any discrepancies or omissions.
  • Update and maintain existing data records to ensure all information remains current, accurate, and aligned with company standards.
  • Retrieve specific data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members, managers, or clients.
  • Perform regular data backups to ensure preservation of information and protection against accidental loss or corruption.
  • Sort, label, and organize physical and digital documentation after data entry to maintain a clean, searchable, and loss-proof filing structure.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with arenaflex data protection policies and industry-standard confidentiality principles.
  • Communicate effectively with team leads and colleagues to clarify ambiguous data, resolve inconsistencies, and report any technical or workflow issues.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrated prior experience working as a data entry clerk, administrative data specialist, or in a similar role involving high-volume data transcription.
  • Fast and accurate typing ability, with a strong preference for candidates trained in the touch typing system.
  • Excellent working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools, including Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace equivalents.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and external storage drives.
  • Basic knowledge of database systems, including the ability to navigate, search, and update records in digital platforms.
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written, with strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in large datasets.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certifications in administration, data management, or office technology are a plus.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated home workspace suitable for full-time remote work.
  • Understanding of and strict adherence to data confidentiality principles and information security best practices.
