[Remote] Accounting & Financial Operations Lead

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Plant Design I/O is seeking an Accounting & Financial Operations Lead to own the day-to-day financial operations of our growing engineering and software consulting business. This role is responsible for client billing, accounts receivable, expense management, accounting administration, payroll coordination, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the client billing process, including timesheet and expense validation
• Prepare and submit client invoices accurately and on time
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Review employee expense reports and ensure proper documentation
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations within QuickBooks
• Coordinate with ADP TotalSource and support payroll administration
• Serve as the primary liaison with the company's CPA and assist with monthly financial reporting and process improvements

Skills

• 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience
• Strong experience with billing, accounts receivable, and collections
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in engineering, consulting, staffing, or professional services
• Experience with time-and-expense billing environments
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
• Experience coordinating with external CPA firms
