Magna Legal Services provides end-to-end legal support services to law firms, corporations, and governmental agencies throughout the nation. They are seeking a Jury Consultant to perform tasks associated with jury-related litigation consulting, including mock trials, jury selection, and community attitude surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks associated with jury related litigation consulting
  • Mock trials/focus group moderation, online jury research, shadow juries, jury selection, community attitude surveys, witness prep, voir dire, demographic profiling, reporting and other related litigation consulting services
  • Work collaboratively with research team and clients
  • Work hand in hand with sales team to close deals for jury consulting related projects
  • Take ownership of projects from intake to delivery
  • Performing research and confident consulting, such as making strategic recommendations to clients
  • Mock trials/focus group moderation, online jury research, community attitude surveys, witness prep, voir dire, demographic profiling, reporting, etc
  • Shadow juries, jury selection, juror social media/public records research, trial monitoring, strategic consulting, visual communication consulting, etc

Skills

  • Graduate degree (Ph.D. and/or Master's) in psychology or related field (i.e., neuroscience, communication, etc.) and/or J.D
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field for senior-level consultant position
  • Understanding of reliable research methods
  • Insight into human behavior, motivation, and decision-making heuristics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Experience in performing research and confident consulting
  • Ability to make strategic recommendations to clients
  • Exceptional abilities in qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Knowledge of social science research methodology
  • Firm understanding of the civil legal process, procedures, and terminology
  • Client development skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with analytical software (such as SPSS)
  • General understanding of presentation technology
