[Remote] Electrical Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RigUp is a company focused on advanced manufacturing solutions, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to projects for data center facilities engineering, design, and construction. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering and design of power distribution systems, as well as collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with other portions of the design process
• Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site
• Work closely with the broader multi-discipline team in a fast paced, dynamic, collaborative environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents
• Engineer and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities
• Design may also include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate our clients’ continually evolving requirements
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 6 year experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer literacy
• Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges
• Ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers
• Experience with Data Center or AI Factory projects
• At least 3 years of data center facility design experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Passionate about buildings and construction
• Experience in the design of large projects established on greenfield sites
