[Remote] Computer Aided Design Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DP Professionals (DPP) is seeking experienced CAD Designers and Drafters at the III and Senior levels to support aerospace ground systems and launch infrastructure programs. The role involves creating, modifying, and releasing engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for critical systems such as ground support equipment and launch pad structures.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo
- Create and maintain engineering documentation in a controlled configuration management environment
- Generate drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards
- Support engineering change and release processes
- Define interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and analysis teams
- Participate in design reviews and model validation activities
Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) experience
- Experience creating large assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with configuration management and engineering release processes
- Experience using Windchill or similar PLM/PDM systems
- Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Launch pad structures or aerospace infrastructure
- Test fixtures and test equipment
- Lifting, transportation, and handling tooling
- Umbilical systems and interface hardware
- Fluid systems, electrical connector documentation, and interface control drawings
