[Remote] Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aptino, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant to support IBM Z application modernization and DevOps transformation initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in mainframe technologies and hands-on migration experience with various tools.
Responsibilities
- Strong expertise in z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, USS, and REXX
- Hands-on migration experience from CA Endevor and other SCM/DevOps tools to IBM DBB, Git, IDz, and IBM DevOps Deploy (IDD)
- Experience with application conversion, build and pipeline migration, troubleshooting, and validation
- Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, YAML, Groovy, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
- Preferred: IBM Z application development, Easytrieve-to-COBOL conversion, IBM Migration Utility, and mainframe modernization experience
