As a Customer Service Representative at CVS Health, you'll play a vital role in shaping the healthcare experience for our members and clients.

About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our remote team in Oregon, USA. As a key member of our customer support team, you'll be the primary point of contact for our members, clients, and providers. Your role will be to provide personalized support, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional service that exceeds our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide customized communication based on client preferences and individualized needs
  • Build trusting relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Anticipate client needs and offer relevant information to address unasked questions
  • Utilize customer support frameworks to make financial decisions and resolve client issues
  • Educate and assist clients on various aspects of benefit plan information and available services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver client-specific presentations and resolve service issues
  • Identify trends and emerging client support issues, and develop solutions to address potential concerns
  • Process claims references, new case referrals, and escalate issues as needed
  • Conduct outreach/welcome calls to ensure constituent expectations are met or exceeded
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues to deliver the best client experience
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) providing technical support on work-related issues, products, and/or system application delivery matters
  • Participate in or lead special projects/initiatives addressing support issues, as required
  • Provide technical or topic expertise on policies, procedures, and proficiency-related applications/system tools as needed

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Client care experience in a transactional environment, such as a call center or retail store
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion in customer interactions

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance setting
  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits, insurance plans, and related services
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools
