Job Description

Forbes Advisor is looking for a Senior SEM Specialist to join the Forbes Advisor Performance Marketing team, focusing on supporting Forbes' Growth vertical and the Ecommerce space. Proven account management is essential to be successful in this role. Reporting to the Head of SEM, this role will support and drive Forbes Advisor's performance marketing efforts across paid search. The ideal candidate brings strong SEM expertise, a hands-on and proactive mindset, and the ability to make sound decisions and move initiatives forward. They are detail-oriented, action-driven, and eager to personally contribute to the success and growth of our paid search programs. Responsibilities: Performance Work within our in-house PPC team to plan, implement, and optimize paid search campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Bing Ads, and others. Take ownership of channel performance, achieving targets and explaining any variance to leadership and stakeholders in management commentary or other forums as required. Develop and execute best-practice PPC strategies to meet business goals, including keyword and audience opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, and ad copy optimization Define both short-term and long-term strategies and execute them, providing recommendations for campaign optimization and audience growth. Build and manage a testing roadmap for your categories, ensuring successful experiments are scaled quickly and communicated to the wider team. Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities, make informed recommendations, and optimize campaign performance. Generate innovative ideas to challenge and reshape existing best practices. Stay up to date with search engine updates and PPC industry trends. Build strong collaborative relationships with teams across Business Development, Product, Data, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance to drive growth and improve owned categories. Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders to align on objectives and ensure the successful delivery of performance goals. Capability Lead key category accounts with full ownership Strategically scale performance marketing initiatives Full responsibility for growing own verticals Initiating and owning high impact projects across owned categories Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations Experiment with and refine new campaign techniques Leading by example where appropriate. Determining the mix between short-term commercial BAU and long-term capability development (e.g., roadmap/testing) Professional Competencies: Passion for Search and digital marketing Highly motivated individual with a proven track record for exceeding expectations Outstanding ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere High levels of autonomy and self-motivation Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills Deep expertise in Google Ads Proven track record of strategic growth and optimizations High-quality client communication and storytelling Cross-functional collaboration skills Fail Fast or double down approach Requirements: Proven 3+ years' experience in PPC/SEM, working on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads Experience in Ecommerce affiliate marketing In-depth knowledge of Google Ads and Bing Ads, including smart bidding strategies Experience managing large-scale PPC accounts Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools Experience with website analysis using analytics platforms, including Google Analytics and internal reporting tools Experience using external competitive research tools such as SEMrush, Adthena, or similar Highly motivated with a proven track record of exceeding expectations Enthusiastic about search marketing, with a desire to develop PPC and people management skills while growing professionally Enjoys working in a collabor Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
