Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Provide courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service using the assigned cash register, handling cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive outcome and maintaining high satisfaction scores.
  • Share best‑practice service habits—such as eye contact, active listening, and anticipatory assistance—with teammates to elevate the overall store experience.

Pharmacy Operations & Support

  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in all pharmacy‑related tasks while adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Utilize arenaflex pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, accurately process prescriptions, and enter data with precision.
  • Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential drug interactions.
  • Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and follow arenaflex’s Quality Improvement Program protocols.
  • Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including communications with physicians and third‑party payers.
  • Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services, ensuring timely resubmission and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with inventory management—ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments—and maintain accurate records of assets.
  • Adhere strictly to arenaflex policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing and the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain compliance with state and local laws for regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.

Retail Operations & Merchandising

  • Recommend complementary and higher‑margin items to customers, enhancing their shopping experience and driving sales.
  • Maintain clean, organized counters and shelves; execute merchandising standards, price checks, and inventory counts as directed.
  • Construct and refresh promotional displays, seasonal setups, and sale signage; execute store resets and revisions efficiently.
  • Support food safety protocols by separating raw and pre‑cooked foods, applying FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) rotation, and ensuring proper product placement.
  • Provide photo‑service assistance, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and creative machine operations, while suggesting promotional photo products.
  • Manage web‑pick‑up orders through Picture Care Plus, accurately picking items and delivering them to customers upon arrival.
  • Assist with interior and exterior store maintenance to uphold a neat, orderly, and inviting environment.

Training & Professional Development

  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through arenaflex‑provided training programs or state‑required registration.
  • Participate in ongoing training, complete Performance‑Based Learning (PBL) modules, and acquire continuing education credits to stay current on healthcare trends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth by attending workshops, webinars, and in‑store learning sessions.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education in health‑related fields is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or customer‑service environment, preferably within a fast‑paced setting.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex health information in an understandable manner.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency for cash handling, inventory tracking, and prescription calculations.
