[Remote] Financial Reporting Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Horizon Bank is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support the preparation of external financial and regulatory reports. The role involves collaborating with senior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while providing analysis and reporting support to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial reports, including components of Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Support the preparation and review of regulatory reports, including Call Reports and FR reports
  • Apply established accounting guidance and internal policies to recurring reporting activities with appropriate supervision
  • Assist with research related to new accounting standards and preparation of draft technical accounting memoranda
  • Support documentation and testing related to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support to senior leadership
  • Represent the Bank to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional manner in face-to-face, written and telephone communications
  • Accountable for adherence to compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), quality of documentation, timeliness and the ability to exercise prudent judgment for solutions from unexpected situations that arise
  • Actively protect confidentiality of customer and account information
  • Demonstrate Horizon Bank’s commitment to the communities we serve through involvement in local organizations and events

Skills

  • Solid accounting foundation
  • Experience with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ability to prepare quarterly and annual external financial reports, including components of Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Support the preparation and review of regulatory reports, including Call Reports and FR reports
  • Apply established accounting guidance and internal policies to recurring reporting activities
  • Assist with research related to new accounting standards and preparation of draft technical accounting memoranda
  • Support documentation and testing related to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial data under tight reporting deadlines
  • Represent the Bank to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional manner
  • Accountable for adherence to compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Demonstrate commitment to the communities served through involvement in local organizations and events
