[Remote] Product Manager Paid Consultant - Design System Governance & Accessibility
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LinkedIn is seeking experienced design systems leads and senior product designers for a project focused on their AI Marketplace. The role involves completing a one-time, paid video interview where participants will explain their real-world workflows and decision-making processes related to design systems and accessibility compliance.
Responsibilities
- Proposing, reviewing, approving, versioning, and communicating components and patterns
- Keeping design tokens, Figma libraries, code components, accessibility, and brand standards in sync
- Managing contribution processes, deprecation, adoption tracking, and drift prevention
- Supporting handoff standards, production verification, accessibility remediation, and system feedback loops
- Explaining workflows specifically within: component contribution, design-system governance, accessibility compliance, token/code alignment, adoption measurement, deprecation, and production feedback workflows
Skills
- 6+ years in design systems, product design systems, UX engineering, accessibility-oriented design operations, or design technology
- Direct, hands-on experience in component contribution, design-system governance, accessibility compliance, token/code alignment, adoption measurement, deprecation, and production feedback workflows
- Experience making or influencing decisions related to new component approval, accessibility bar, breaking-change communication, deprecation path, enforcement level, and system health signals
- Familiarity with tools such as: Figma libraries, design tokens, Storybook, Zeroheight, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, accessibility testing tools, component documentation sites
- Strong ability to clearly explain workflows, decisions, and reasoning
- Experience owning or directly executing these workflows in a real production environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with HR, legal, payroll, finance, HRIS, business leaders, people managers, or compensation committee stakeholders as relevant to the workflow
