[Remote] Sr. Fund Accountant (Remote)

SpectrumCareers is a growing and highly respected investment management firm seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their finance team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work closely with fund leadership and play a key role in financial reporting and accounting operations for multiple investment vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and accounting records for multiple private investment funds
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Calculate and review Net Asset Value (NAV) reporting and investor allocations
- Record investment activity, including purchases, sales, income, realized gains/losses, and fair value adjustments
- Prepare capital call, distribution, and waterfall calculations
- Coordinate quarterly closes and assist with year-end audit processes
- Work closely with third-party administrators, auditors, tax providers, and internal stakeholders
- Prepare and review investor reporting packages and supporting schedules
- Assist with cash management, reconciliations, and treasury-related activities
- Support the preparation of regulatory and compliance reporting as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including fund accounting, public accounting, private equity, hedge fund, real estate fund, venture capital, or investment management experience
- Strong understanding of investment accounting concepts and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with partnership accounting and investor allocations
- CPA designation or CPA track is highly preferred
