The role involves managing day-to-day social media activities, creating engaging content, and fostering community engagement to promote Netlify's offerings in the AI-driven development space.

Responsibilities

  • Own Netlify’s day-to-day social presence across X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Discord, and other priority channels. You’ll write, publish, reply, monitor, and engage from the company handles with speed, context, and care
  • Take new features, product launches, change log updates, customer examples, and community activity and turn them into clear, useful posts builders understand and care about
  • Build and manage the social calendar by maintaining a content calendar that balances launches, education, builder spotlights, community moments, founder content, and timely conversations in the ecosystem
  • Monitor the broader builder ecosystem to find, celebrate, and amplify people building with Netlify, especially developers and vibe coders creating with AI tools and agentic workflows
  • Support community and campaigns and help promote community challenges, contests, launches, events, and builder programs through social content, live engagement, recaps, clips and storytelling
  • Use platform behavior and social algorithms to improve reach, engagement, and defined performance metrics. You’ll track what’s working and understand why. Then use that learning to drive better content, stronger builder engagement, and more product interest
  • You’ll manage intake, approvals, launch support, calendars, reporting, and AI-assisted workflows, while working with Dev Advocates, Product, and Support so Netlify’s public presence stays engaging, helpful, and timely

Skills

  • 3+ years of experience managing social media for a technical, developer, AI, or product-led brand
  • Experience managing high-volume brand handles, from publishing and engagement to monitoring and reporting
  • Dev-culture fluency and good public judgment. You know what earns trust and what builders take seriously. When threads move fast, you know when to reply accurately, and when to pull in help
  • Enough technical fluency to understand what Netlify ships and strong writing skills to explain it accurately and make it relevant to various audiences
  • Strong operating habits across calendars, intake, approvals, launch support, and reporting
  • An experimental, data-aware mindset where you love trying new tools or posting strategies. You can explain the 'why' behind the engagement rate and use that data to improve social performance
  • You believe social media is an engagement model you build every day, not a calendar you fill out
  • You can speak to technical developers and vibe coders with equal respect, curiosity, and credibility
  • You know how to make technical ideas feel clear, useful and human without dumbing them down
  • You pay attention to trending topics and what builders are saying, making, questioning, and sharing
  • You understand that social media should turn attention into engagement, engagement into trust, and trust into product interest
  • You're comfortable being both a public-facing presence and an operator behind the scenes
  • You live in social channels and have an appetite to track new formats, platform shifts and all the new algorithms
  • You like moving fast, learning in public, and improving the way Netlify shows up over time
  • You constantly test new formats, tools, and channels, then use those results to improve post and program performance
  • You want to help Netlify show up with more relevance and personality in the AI-native development conversation
