[Remote] AI/ML Engineer (Digital Mental Health)

Lumira Search is exclusively partnered with an innovative Digital Mental Health company aiming to transform access to mental healthcare through advanced technology and AI. They are seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that enhance patient outcomes and clinician workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models across a range of applications, including predictive analytics, personalization, NLP, and generative AI
  • Design and optimize ML pipelines for training, evaluation, monitoring, and production deployment
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Data teams to translate business and user needs into AI-powered solutions
  • Build scalable systems capable of handling large and complex healthcare datasets
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to the company's long-term AI strategy
  • Ensure models are developed responsibly, with a focus on privacy, security, fairness, and regulatory compliance

Skills

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
  • Experience working with LLMs, NLP, generative AI, or recommendation systems
  • Strong understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and cloud-based deployment practices
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within HealthTech, Digital Health, Mental Health is ESSENTIAL
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and privacy regulations
  • Experience building AI products that directly impact user engagement or clinical outcomes
