What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Inbound Chat Specialist at arenaflex, your primary mission is to engage website visitors in real-time, friendly, and informative online conversations. Your day will be dynamic and varied, with no two chats the same. Here’s a closer look at what your responsibilities will entail:

  • Handle a Wide Variety of Customer Inquiries: Respond to inbound chat messages from potential customers who have questions about automotive and recreational vehicle sales, service, financing options, and general dealership information. You’ll be the first point of contact, setting the tone for a positive customer experience.
  • Provide Accurate Product and Service Information: Deliver clear, concise, and helpful information about vehicles, dealership services, promotions, and more. You’ll be trained to become a knowledgeable resource for a wide range of topics.
  • Schedule Appointments and Capture Leads: Engage in meaningful dialogue to identify customer needs, narrow down appointment details, and schedule service or sales appointments. You’ll capture key contact information to generate qualified leads for our dealer clients.
  • Maintain an Evolving Knowledge Base: Stay up to date on the latest automotive products, services, dealership offerings, and industry trends. You’ll continuously expand your understanding of the products and services you represent.
  • Summarize Customer Interactions: Document the key points of each chat interaction based on customer needs, providing valuable summaries for client review and quality assurance purposes.

What We’re Looking For: Qualifications and Skills

At arenaflex, we believe that great customer service skills can be taught and refined, but a positive attitude and genuine desire to help others are non-negotiable. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

Essential Qualifications

  • Typing Speed: Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute (WPM), with 40 WPM or above preferred. Speed and accuracy are essential in a live chat environment.
  • Computer Literacy: Solid understanding of basic internet navigation and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Multitasking Ability: Strong ability to juggle multiple chats and tasks simultaneously is highly preferred. Prior gaming experience is a plus, as it demonstrates comfort with managing several streams of information at once.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills are a must, as you’ll be conveying personality, professionalism, and helpfulness entirely through text. Strong verbal communication skills are also valued for team collaboration.
  • Positive and Professional Demeanor: A friendly, energetic attitude that shines through in every interaction, even when handling challenging customer inquiries.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a quick-paced, ever-changing work environment and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Availability: Must be able to attend four weeks of paid training, Tuesday through Saturday, between 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM CST. After training, you’ll be scheduled to work 5-hour daily time blocks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail customer service is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry is helpful, but we’ll provide comprehensive training to bring you up to speed.
  • Gaming experience or demonstrated comfort with multitasking across multiple platforms.
