Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy, data integrity, and supporting critical healthcare operations? Do you thrive in a structured, independent remote work environment where your precision directly impacts the quality of care delivered to millions of Americans? If so, arenaflex invites you to explore an exciting career opportunity as a Claims Data Entry Clerk – Remote Healthcare Operations Specialist supporting our valued WI TXIX HealthCare Account client.

At arenaflex, we believe that great companies are built on the foundation of exceptional teams. For more than two decades, we have partnered with leading public and private sector organizations to solve complex business challenges, streamline operations, and enhance the way work gets done. Our professionals are the engine behind some of the most important programs in the country, and we are proud to be recognized as an employer of choice for those who value flexibility, professional growth, and meaningful work.

This is not a typical call center position. It is a focused, behind-the-scenes opportunity for someone who finds deep satisfaction in accuracy, organization, and process excellence. You will play a vital role in transforming paper claims and supporting documents into clean, accurate digital records that fuel downstream workflows, reimbursement cycles, and healthcare provider payments. If you are a fast, accurate typist who enjoys working independently and takes pride in producing high-quality work, this role is built for you.

Position Overview

As a Claims Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will serve as a key contributor on our WI TXIX HealthCare Account support team. Your primary mission will be to accurately and efficiently process incoming paper claims and related documentation, converting them into digital formats using Microsoft Office tools, with a particular emphasis on Excel. Your work will directly support the operational goals of our client, ensuring that claims move smoothly through the adjudication pipeline and that downstream teams have the reliable data they need to make informed decisions.

This is a fully remote, work-from-home position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. You will work independently with minimal supervision, managing your own workload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Conversion: Process high volumes of paper claims, medical documents, and supporting paperwork by entering critical information into electronic systems and databases using Microsoft Office programs, with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Quality Assurance & Verification: Review every entry against source documents to confirm accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client specifications. Identify and correct discrepancies before claims are released to the next stage of processing.
  • Compliance Adherence: Follow established contract requirements, business unit rules, legal regulations, and client-specific guidelines at all times. Maintain a strong understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare data handling standards.
  • Instruction Interpretation: Carefully follow both written and verbal instructions, including complex multi-step procedures communicated through email, instant messaging, training documents, and team meetings.
  • Multi-Task Management: Balance multiple projects, work queues, and priorities simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines and productivity targets.
  • Workflow Communication: Proactively communicate with team leads, supervisors, and internal stakeholders regarding issues, questions, or escalations that arise during the data entry process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve personal efficiency and accuracy, and share ideas for process enhancements with the broader operations team.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of work completed, productivity metrics, and any unusual or non-standard claims that require additional review.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following baseline requirements:

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. You should be comfortable navigating spreadsheets, formulas, formatting, and basic data manipulation.
  • Typing Speed & Accuracy: Excellent typing skills with a minimum sustained speed of 60 words per minute (WPM) and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail and a strong commitment to producing error-free work, even when processing repetitive or high-volume tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document issues, ask clarifying questions, and follow complex instructions delivered via various communication channels.
  • Time Management: The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines in a production-driven environment.
  • Independent Worker: A self-motivated, disciplined approach to working from home with minimal direct supervision. You take ownership of your work and proactively seek solutions.
  • Instruction Following: The ability to grasp and consistently follow complex, multi-step procedures, even when they evolve or change based on client requirements.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Prior experience in medical claims processing, healthcare data entry, or insurance operations.
