The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences is dedicated to advancing the field of physical therapy through excellence in education, research, and clinical innovation. Home to Tufts University's four Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs-Boston, Phoenix, Seattle, and Atlanta, the department supports a diverse community of approximately 80 faculty members and 20 staff across multiple campuses. Faculty within the department are engaged in collaborative, impactful research aimed at addressing critical challenges in rehabilitation and physical therapy. Key areas of focus include developing and evaluating interventions for specialized populations, advancing the science of physical examination and diagnosis, and improving understanding of pain mechanisms to enhance patient outcomes. Through its commitment to scholarship, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences prepares future leaders in physical therapy while contributing meaningful advancements to the profession.

What You'll Do

Oversee operations of the Tufts Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program – Atlanta. This role works collaboratively with the Directors of Clinical Education (DCEs), Program Director, Program Manager and Program leadership to develop, implement, review, and evaluate processes related to clinical education. Manages data systems, supports clinical placement coordination, maintains compliance documentation, assists with accreditation reporting, and serves as a central liaison between the DPT Program, clinical sites, students, faculty and external stakeholders. Attends weekly meetings for Clinical Education as well as program meetings. Oversees operational continuity across related program areas, including admissions, student affairs, curriculum, and on-site clinical lab immersions, program events, and other activities, ensuring seamless delivery Collaborates with the Directors of Clinical Education and Program leadership to develop and implement goals and strategies for clinical education operations. Manages clinical education databases, electronic records, and tracking systems related to student placements, site contracts, compliance requirements, and evaluations. Manages data systems such as clinical placement software platforms (e.g., Exxat, mCE, DISA/Castlebranch or similar), learning management systems, and university record systems. Ensures clinical site contracts, documentation, and accreditation reporting is current and compliant with university and regulatory standards. Coordinates student clinical placements, including communications with clinical sites and students. Generates reports, data summaries, and dashboards to support program evaluation and decision-making. Drafts professional correspondence, forms, manuals, agreements, and templates related to clinical education operations. Manages logistical planning for on-site clinical skills lab immersions, program events, and other experiential learning initiatives to ensure effective delivery and participant experience.

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements: Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:Bachelor's Degree 3-5 years Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with basic office equipment, including printer, scanner, copier, and fax. Possess discretion when dealing with highly confidential information. Demonstrates confidence, discretion, and proficiency in interpersonal and team skills in order to effectively interact with people at all levels. Demonstrates attention to detail and excellent decision-making skills in responding to high-pressure situations. Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage competing priorities in a fast paced, deadline-driven administrative office. Possess strong oral, communication, and organizational skills and commitment to best practices. Independently develop database, spreadsheet, or word processing documents requiring understanding and proficiency with contemporary software applications and programs. Perform complex data-entry tasks for which there are a variety of formats and procedures. Possess knowledge of correct business practices, correspondence, and typing formats. Ability to read and comprehend regulations, procedures, and policies and apply them to specific situations. Demonstrate knowledge and usage of correct grammar, composition, spelling, and punctuation and produce documents that do not require significant review and editing. Possess basic knowledge of accounting systems. Possess the initiative to act with self-direction and independently to correct and improve operations in the DPT Program. Pay Range Minimum $60,000.00, Midpoint $75,000.00, Maximum $90,100.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
