Role: Technical Writer Location: Hillsboro, OR (Initial Remote) Duration: 12+ Months Must have skill sets:

  • Engineering/Master degree in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent with 8-10 years of experience as a technical writer
  • Knowledge of semiconductors process or experience documenting semiconductors factory needs is a requirement
  • Semiconductor Fabrication tools (equipments from AMAT, LAM , TEL, ASML etc) knowledge and understanding of the semiconductor tools configurations, spares and services used in fab
  • Familiarity with conventions in form, structure, and notation of technical writing, demonstrate a proven track record in setting and enforcing standards consistent with changing industry requirements
  • Exceptional written, organizational, inter-personal, project management, and communication skills to establish the context, tasks and references
  • Proficiency in FrameMaker, XML authoring tools, content management systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustration, InDesign, and PowerPoint
  • Wide degree of creativity, strong editorial, research, plan and deliver documentation
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate using English and functional knowledge in a wide range of technologies such as HTML and VB Script
  • Hands on Experience in writing user and service manuals / procedure documents, and using content management systems and xml authoring tools

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Research, collect source data, and interview appropriate personnel to compose text for technical literature, which meets Intel's standards and procedures.
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical user and service publications that accurately and effectively support the product release requirements in various output formats (pdf, online help, cd, etc.)
  • Develop content using a content managements system and xml authoring tool
  • Track and fix content defects, meet target timelines and quality needs
  • Create documentation methodologies, frameworks, and workflow diagrams
  • Coordinate review of all assigned writing projects with fab SMEs/TD to ensure thorough documentation and its validation on the tools
  • Provide input on other technical writing projects by critiquing, editing, and proofreading manuscripts prepared by others
  • Complete writing assignments on-time and within budget according to departmental and industry standards
  • Assist and/or analyze project requirements to determine types or publications needed and develop project plans and timelines
  • Successfully work with fab subject matter experts and communicate well with global teams on progress and clarifications
  • Assists and develops graphic and illustrations used in user and service documentation
