Data Protection Advisor Location: Ireland or the United Kingdom | Type: Permanent | Start: ASAP | Hours: Full-time | Salary: Approximate range of €50,000-€60,000 euros per annum (or sterling equivalent for UK-based candidates), commensurate with experience. What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Delivering and supporting managed services to clients, including briefing papers, advisory notes, developing consent, privacy notices and assessing policies and agreements. Fulfilling managed services activities including data protection impact assessments, compliance audits, gap analyses and data mapping services to aid in addressing risk management issues and complying with data protection requirements. Undertaking large scale data protection projects for clients, ensuring project deliverables are of a high quality and delivered on time. Managing client relationships and engagement activities to ensure a successful delivery of service. Writing briefs for clients on relevant topic areas, including newsletter pieces and other outreach materials. Driving key improvements to internal systems, processes and client services. What You Bring Required education and experience Essential: An LLM, or relevant postgraduate qualification and CIPP/E or other data protection or information security compliance certifications. 3+ years of post-degree experience in a data protection role. Proven track record of delivering assignments on time and to quality standards. Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Desirable: Strong client management experience. Experience working in large or complex organisations. Experience working in a consultancy environment or capacity. Professional knowledge and technical skills Essential: Thorough operational knowledge of Irish and EU data protection legislation (including GDPR/EUDPR). Proven ability to analyse legislative requirements and translate into organisational practices, solutions and accessible materials. Working knowledge and competency in project management. Desirable: Knowledge of data protection frameworks in the healthcare sector. Knowledge of other privacy frameworks outside of GDPR. Interpersonal skills Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation and reporting skills. Proactive problem-solving and analytical skills. Customer service and stakeholder management skills. Time management skills and strong attention to detail. Adaptable to change direction in line with business needs.
