Online Honors/AP Chemistry & Biology Instructor (Remote)

We are a fast-growing U.S.-based online education organization serving K–12 students across North America. We are seeking experienced Honors/AP Chemistry and Biology instructors to provide high-quality online instruction and academic guidance to our students. Position Overview We are looking for educators who have a strong background in Honors and AP-level science courses and are familiar with the U.S. school curriculum and AP exam preparation pathways. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of helping students achieve academic success and build confidence in challenging science subjects.
Responsibilities
- Teach Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Honors Biology, and/or AP Biology in one-on-one and small-group online settings.
- Develop customized lesson plans based on students' academic backgrounds, learning styles, and academic goals.
- Guide students in mastering course content, laboratory concepts, exam strategies, and scientific thinking skills.
- Assign and review homework, provide progress reports, and offer academic recommendations.
- Support students preparing for AP exams, school assessments, and advanced science coursework.
- Help students strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific writing skills.
- Experience coaching students for science competitions such as the Biology Olympiad (USABO), Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO), science fairs, or research projects is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Honors and/or AP Chemistry and Biology.
- Strong familiarity with U.S. high school science curricula, AP standards, and commonly used instructional resources.
- Demonstrated success in helping students achieve outstanding academic results in Honors/AP courses and AP examinations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and online teaching skills.
- Reliable internet connection and experience teaching via Zoom or other virtual learning platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience at a highly ranked U.S. high school, private school, gifted program, or enrichment academy.
- Degree from a highly selective university is a plus.
- Experience mentoring high-achieving students pursuing AP-level coursework, science research, and academic competitions.
- Successful track record of students achieving top AP scores, Honors course success, science competition awards, and admission to competitive academic programs.
