[Remote] Senior Healthcare Data Analyst - Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sentara Health is hiring a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to support their research mission within the Research Analytics and Data Literacy team. This fully remote role involves collaborating with clinical leaders and research stakeholders to conduct healthcare data analysis, ensuring compliance with data governance standards, and developing publishable outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess research feasibility and translate clinical questions into analytic plans
  • Extract, validate, and manage data from Epic, Databricks, and other sources
  • Perform data cleaning, quality assurance, and statistical analyses
  • Support IRB submissions and ensure compliance with data governance standards
  • Generate tables, figures, and visualizations for manuscripts and presentations
  • Collaborate with investigators on interpretation, abstracts, and dissemination

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of healthcare analytics or research experience
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Knowledge of EHR data (Epic), clinical coding, and research methods
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with Excel, Databricks, Python, or R
  • Experience with REDCap, IRB processes, and manuscript support
  • Background in academic medicine or health system research
