[Remote] New Business Development Advisor

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Varsity Spirit, a Varsity Brands company, is a leading global source for cheerleading, dance team, performing arts, and yearbook services. They are seeking a New Business Development Advisor to drive revenue growth across assigned event and fashion accounts, establish partnerships with customers, and enhance team participation in events.

Responsibilities

  • Increase Varsity All Star revenue across assigned event and fashion accounts
  • Identify growth opportunities and at-risk events; strengthen customer relationships to secure and expand team participation
  • Drive the enrollment and growth of the Small Gym Summit Championship
  • Grow assigned customer accounts by solidifying team participation and targeting new opportunities
  • Conduct proactive outreach, including cold calling, to generate and expand revenue opportunities for Varsity All Star events
  • Assist programs in developing a customized Varsity Event schedule tailored to their specific team needs
  • Re-engage Non-Varsity and Non-USASF customers to bring them back into the Varsity event ecosystem
  • Promote participation by effectively communicating the features and benefits of the Small Gym Summit Championship, The Summit Championships, The Regional Summit, The Youth Summit, The Recreational Summit, The U.S. Finals, and The Quest
  • Serve as the customer facing lead for the Small Gym Summit Championship
  • Support and promote V-Connect Meetings and Varsity University initiatives
  • Monitor and report on competitor events and industry trends
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Varsity event and product offerings
  • Use customer feedback to inform recommendations on product mix or program adjustments
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales calls and account activity
  • Evaluate, process, and communicate discount and rebate plans as needed
  • Serve in a high-level management and/or support role at select events
  • Participate in committees, boards, and workgroups that support business objectives
  • Take ownership of a special event or event series (e.g., Small Gym Summit)

Skills

  • Strong familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • High proficiency with Salesforce
  • Proven customer service and sales experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve unexpected customer challenges
  • Capacity to assist with leadership and sales training for the Advisor team
  • Bachelor's Degree or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years direct sales experience
  • Experience in dance/cheer/performing arts is a plus
