[Remote] SAP Asset Accounting Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gridiron IT is a growing Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group seeking an SAP Asset Accounting Analyst to support the modernization of enterprise business solutions for NASA. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to transform ECC Asset Accounting processes into the S/4HANA Universal Journal and ensuring accurate functional requirements integration.

Responsibilities

  • Review NASA’s current ECC Asset Accounting (FI?AA) business processes during As?Is workshops
  • Participate in To?Be Design Workshops to validate and refine future-state Asset Accounting processes
  • Document deltas, decisions, business impacts, and functional requirements
  • Support creation of the Asset Accounting portion of the functional backlog (MVP and BPR)
  • Identify required simplifications or remediations related to SAP S/4HANA Asset Accounting and the Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  • Conduct Fit?Gap analysis for all AA processes (asset acquisition, depreciation, transfers, retirements, settlements, closing)
  • Document functional gaps in alignment with NCAPS workshop outputs
  • Create or contribute to Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for AA-related configuration changes, enhancements, interfaces, and reporting
  • Ensure AA functional requirements integrate properly with Controlling, Funds Management, Property Management, and Projects
  • Support identification of Asset Master Data and Transactional Data objects relevant to migration
  • Collaborate with data teams to define extraction rules, mapping logic, and transformation requirements for migrating assets to S/4
  • Review and validate Data Profiling results for AA (data quality, consistency, missing fields)
  • Confirm To?Be data standards and support creation of data mapping specifications
  • Participate in mock conversion reviews to validate functional correctness of migrated asset data

Skills

  • 12+ years and a degree (years of experience can be subbed for degree)
  • 5+ years experience as an SAP Functional Analyst in Asset Accounting (FI?AA)
  • Hands-on configuration experience in ECC FI?AA (asset classes, depreciation areas, account determination, settlement rules, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end AA processes: acquisitions, transfers, capitalization, depreciation, retirements, settlement, and period-end close
  • Experience participating in workshops, Fit?Gap sessions, and functional design activities
  • Familiarity with SAP data migration concepts, especially for Asset Master Data and Asset Transactional Data
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass NASA Public Trust background investigation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other modern SAP technologies
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Accounting and the Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  • Familiarity with S/4 Fiori applications for Asset Management
  • Experience in federal government or public sector SAP environments
  • Experience participating in S/4 migration projects (greenfield, brownfield, SDT)
  • SAP Certification preferred
  • SAFe experience and/or certification
