[Remote] Business Development Representative (BDR) / Inside Sales – Telecom
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Wiretap Telecom is a leading telecommunications solutions provider that simplifies communication needs for companies. They are seeking a dedicated Business Development Representative (BDR) to manage outbound sales efforts, engage decision-makers, and facilitate the transition of prospects to the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Execute 50 to 100 outbound touchpoints daily using a multi-channel approach (cold calling, targeted email sequences, and strategic LinkedIn outreach)
- Engage Telecom Directors, IT Managers, and operations decision-makers. Identify their current routing, capacity, or billing pain points, and introduce our competitive advantages
- Successfully navigate conversations to transition a prospect into one of two winning stages: an official Request for Quote (RFQ) or a scheduled discovery calendar appointment with our CEO
- Maintain flawless data hygiene and manage your daily workflows using Zoho CRM, Apollo.io, and other advanced sales engagement tools
- Rapidly absorb training on telecom concepts (SIP signaling, termination, toll-free routing, footprints, SMS, UCaaS, etc.) to speak confidently and authoritatively with technical prospects
Skills
- 1–3 years in outbound sales, lead generation, or appointment setting
- Excellent, clear verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to write sharp, personalized emails
- Professional and confident phone communication
- Enjoyment of the fast pace of outbound dialing
- Thick skin and a resilient mindset
- Meticulous about tracking details, logging call notes, and setting follow-up tasks
- Prior experience working with Zoho CRM and Apollo.io (or similar tools like Salesforce/ZoomInfo)
- Prior experience in telecom, VoIP, CLEC, or MSP sales
- Intense curiosity and ability to learn complex technical infrastructure quickly
