Electrical Engineer I
Zebra Technologies is a community of innovators creating smart solutions to meet customer needs. They are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer I to join their Advanced Locationing Technology R&D team, where the role involves designing, testing, and integrating RF and locationing products, collaborating with senior engineers, and analyzing test results.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish baseline requirements for electrical engineering and RF design projects
- Participates in all phases of the hardware design lifecycle, from initial concept and schematic capture to prototyping, testing, and final integration
- Performs rigorous RF and hardware test setups, debugging, and verification on new product prototypes
- Analyzes system and process performance, interpreting test data to recommend actionable solutions and design improvements to key stakeholders
- Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation for new R&D projects and reviews historical test data
- Explores and evaluates the latest RF technologies, components, and methodologies to drive innovation in existing and future product lines
- Assists in reviewing engineering change orders (ECOs), schematic updates, and test procedure modifications for existing designs
- Exercises independent judgment within defined practices to determine the most effective methods and techniques for solving complex technical assignments
Skills
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field for New Graduates. Must have completed core coursework or academic projects related to RF design, electromagnetics, or circuit analysis
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 1+ years of hands-on professional experience in electrical engineering, hardware design, or RF testing for Experienced Candidates
- Core Focus: RF Test Setup, Hardware Debugging, System Integration, and Prototype Validation
- Hands-on experience or academic proficiency operating advanced lab equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters
- Network Analyzers and Signal Generators
- Familiarity with RF simulation/design tools (e.g., Keysight ADS)
- Knowledge of RFID reader technologies (backscattering, self-jamming cancellation)
- Exposure to wireless communication standards (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5G)

- In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
